Mission Trips

World Access Project

World Access Project donates used wheelchairs from the United States to the indigenous disabled of Mexico, one person at a time. As they receive wheelchairs they begin to get out of their houses; as we modify their homes they learn how to become part of their neighborhood and community; as schools are made accessible they have the ability to get an education and interact with others; as governments understands the need for streets, sidewalks and businesses to be made accessible.

We host sports camps & clinics throughout Mexico to show those who receive wheelchairs that their life has value and there is a lot they can do. We teach them how to play sports, how to take care of themselves, how to be independent, and how to be involved in their community. People with disabilities become part of society, and realize they can have a better quality of life.

In addition to the needs of people with physical disabilities there are many children who have been neglected, abandoned and abused, forced to live with non-family members, required to work at a very young age to support themselves, and have not had the opportunity to go to school. We are working to provide neglected young people with an education, a place to live, and love.
